The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is committed to advanced research addressing the basic mechanisms involved in body’s defence to identify modalities for manipulation of the immune system to provide protection against diseases and understand mechanisms that can be used to target disease processes for intervention. The institute’s research thrust areas under immunology and related disciplines cluster in four main themes, namely, infection and immunity, molecular design, gene regulation and reproduction and development, where cutting edge research in modern biology is being carried out.

Name of the project: An understanding into difference of the stimulation of GTPase activity and product formation between human guanylate binding protein – 1 and -2
Duration: Six Months
Educational Qualification:
- M.Sc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biophysics or Bio-informatics.
- Must have qualified any ‘National Level Examination’
Emolument: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience (Rs. 25,000/- consolidated p.m. plus 30% HRA for NETqualified candidate).
Job Description & Knowledge:
- The candidates should have experiences in basic molecular
biology, cloning, expression and purification of recombinant proteins. - The candidate should be self motivated. Experiences with cell cultures, biophysical and bioinformatics works will be preferable.
Terms and conditions:
- The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration
of the project whichever is shorter, at a time. - No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
- Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and
attach documentary proof of the same. - No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
