3D Bioreactor: An Innovative 3D Perfusion Bioreactor From 3D Biotek!
Various research studies have proven that cells grow better under dynamic culture conditions, that is only because both metabolic waste removal & nourishment supply are better under culture condition. Additionally, on occasion, the shear force can function as a stimuli signal which will further promote stem cell differentiation toward cell lineage, such as osteoblast. 3D Perfusion Bioreactor
The bioreactor is made up of multiple independent, autoclavable polycarbonate chambers (4 chambers as shown in the image ). The chambers are designed to take advantage of 3D InsertTM scaffolds with sizes and are interchangeable. Cell culture media are perfused through the open structure of scaffolds with a pulsatile pump. The whole unit is autoclavable (except pump, of course) and may be utilized as a single-use bioreactor system.

Porous polymer scaffolds were engineered with the Proprietary Precision Microfabrication Technology of 3D Biotek. These scaffolds can be found in both biodegradable (polycaprolactone, PCL) (Figure A). and non-biodegradable (polystyrene, PS) polymers. Struts of every layer of the scaffolds are oriented 90° relative to the struts of the layer immediately below (Statistics B-C, scanning electron micrographs). Not just that 3D InsertTM will offer a 3D cell culture environment, but also will provide a greater cell growth region than that of a traditional 2D tissue culture.
