Job Description
- Provides technical product information to customers and sales representatives by phone, email & during field work
- Addresses customer complaints by informing QA on nature of complaints for corrective action and coordinating repairs/replacement with customers
- Disseminates information to sales representatives regarding specific customer issues and complaints
- Reviews and develops product literature; trains new sales representatives, customers and distributors on technical features and benefits of products
- Works with Marketing to support campaigns and provide product feedback.
- Attends trade shows to answer customer inquiries & interface with customers through product presentations
- Develops and presents training materials for department and sales representatives
- Performs administrative duties, i.e., maintaining department files and documentation, keeping log of customer and sales representative interactions. Updating CRM
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Role Purpose:
- Assists sales organization in providing technical and administrative product information across PAN India.
- Responsible for various pre- and post-sales activities that include assisting customers on the phone/email with technical problems in using products or product complaints that will require on site troubleshooting assistance, as well as arranging product demonstrations for prospective customers.
- Life science products require science/technical qualifications.
- The incumbent is acquiring higher level skills and knowledge.
- Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers.
- Receives moderate level of guidance and direction.
- Will require pan India travelling.
Key Accountabilities and Duties :
Education : University degree, PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s in life science/ Biomedical
Experience : At least 5+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge : Knowledge of cell systems, morphology, aseptic laboratory technique, tissue cell culture technique, transfection, molecular biology, familiarity with laboratory testing procedures
Skills :
Experience in technical services and customer support
To be able to coordinate with the sales team to achieve the assigned KPI’s
Qualities & Attitude :
Inclination to be technically competent, ability to work & interact across the board & time zones, Self-driven, patient, result oriented and strong business development skills
