Modeled on the pattern of land grant colleges in U.S.A., the PAU performs the integrated functions of teaching, research and extension in agriculture, agricultural engineering, home science and allied disciplines. Project Title: MISC 36: Surveillance of anti microbial resistance (AMR) in microflora of milk and dairy cattle from organized and unorganized dairy sector of Punjab region (SB/YS/LS-l3l/20l4)

Funding Agency: Science & Engineering Research Board, New Delhi

Essential Qualifications:
M.Sc/ M.Tech in Microbiology, Dairy Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognized University – with an overall credit point average of 6.00/10 or 60 % marks and above.

Desirable:
Preference will be given to candidates having research experience in the field of anti microbial

resistance; Isolation, preservation and maintenance of microbial strains and basic techniques of Molecular biology

Emoluments:

  • Rs. 25,000.00 + 20% HRA (per month) for Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course,
  • Rs. 12,000.00 + 20% HRA (per month) for Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences without NET.

Age limit: 28 Year, relaxed upto 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC/Women candidates.
