Main Responsibilities of a Associate Project Specialist :
Overall Purpose:
Provide comprehensive project management support to the scientific writing team, ensuring efficient and compliant end-to-end delivery of publication and medical education initiatives across all project phases.
Project Management & Delivery

Manage project timelines, resources, and quality standards for assigned medical publications and educational deliverables (e.g., slide decks, abstracts, posters, manuscripts).

Support initiation, submission, and revision of content based on internal and external stakeholder feedback.

Track project status, risks, and issues, ensuring timely resolution and successful delivery of milestones.

Oversee adherence to publication planning platforms (e.g., iEnvision, previously Datavision/Matrix) and compliance systems (e.g., PromoMats, NAYA).

Ensure all deliverables meet regulatory, medical, and scientific standards.
Compliance & Budget Oversight

Coordinate submission and approval processes in accordance with compliance standards and internal guidelines.

Assist in external spend tracking including purchase orders, invoicing, and goods receipt.

Partner with stakeholders to ensure all medical content meets legal, regulatory, and ethical compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration

Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including:

Scientific communication teams (global and local)

Medical content enhancement teams

Medical and scientific community (within assigned therapeutic area or business unit)

Act as a key liaison to support alignment between project goals and stakeholder expectations.
People & Performance

Champion the use of emerging technologies and tools to enhance content quality, team productivity, and workflow efficiency.

Continuously identify and implement improvements in publication and medical education processes.
Quality & Process Optimization
Associate Project Specialist – Sanofi should collaborate with Project Specialists and Managers to drive operational excellence within Scientific Business Operations (SBO).

Ensure all scientific documentation meets the highest standards of medical writing and scientific communication.

Support the delivery of high-quality clinical and medical documents in alignment with corporate and regulatory guidelines.

Contribute to ongoing process improvements and quality assurance initiatives within the medical writing function.

Requirements:
- Experience: 2-4 years post-qualification
- Soft Skills: Stakeholder management, communication, team player
- Technical Skills: Project management, scientific/medical writing, pharma experience
- Education: University degree in science; advanced degree in life sciences/pharmacy desirable
- Languages: Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
