About the Department
The Centralised Monitoring Unit (CMU)- Bangalore is a department within the Clinical Drug Development area. CMU is responsible for risk-based medical monitoring, operational data analysis, and statistical monitoring across clinical trials. The department comprises skilled medical professionals, technical programmers, and statistical monitors. Together, we ensure patient safety and data quality by adhering to protocols, identifying outliers, and performing ongoing monitoring activities.
The Position
As a Central Monitor, you will play a key role in defining and monitoring key risk indicators to ensure patient safety, data quality, and regulatory compliance. You will perform ongoing centralised operational monitoring activities, communicate findings to stakeholders, and participate in project meetings. Additionally, you will contribute to knowledge
sharing within the department and maintain compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in life science, scientific, or healthcare discipline
- At least 3 years of relevant clinical research experience
- Good knowledge of drug development process and risk-based quality management principles
- Prior CRA/Field Monitoring and analytical tool experience is desirable
- Ability to review and interpret aggregate data using visualization/analysis software
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, execution, and operations
- Excellent project management and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Quality mindset, attention to detail, and proactive attitude
