About the role:
The Research team at Diageo India Tech Centre is looking for a suitable Industrial Post Doc Researcher to join the team to carry out science and tech-based research to build future S&T capabilities.
The role will be accountable for the researching, development, and implementation of end-to-end S&T-based solutions. Depending on the scope of
work at different instances, the candidate will be working independently or in collaboration with multiple functions within Diageo to ensure the end-to-end execution of the R&D plan.The role reports to the General Manager – Research and will be based out of Bangalore R&D Centre.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree (Mandatory) in Chemistry/Chemical Technology/Alcohol Technology/Chemical Engineering/Biochemistry/Biotechnology from a reputed institute with a proven record of research publications in peer-reviewed national/international journals.
- Awareness of new technological advancements and their application to build future capabilities.
- Right research attitude and aptitude to understand the research problem, design strategy and execute in the shortest possible time.
- Other Technical skills – Microsoft Office, Statistical tools to process and present data effectively.
- Excellent communication and understanding skills with a keen eye for details.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated mastery of one scientific discipline and working knowledge of others.
- Employs scientific mastery to solve complex, research-based problems with minimal guidance.
- Skillfully uses literature, external experts, and lab work to effectively and efficiently complete project assignments.
- Works effectively with other functions and cross-functional teams to achieve the required research outcome.
- Report research results to R&D management, with clear communication of technical achievements and business impact.
- Anticipates key technical/commercial issues and integrates data and knowledge to recommend timely, optimal research solutions.
- Raises issues with appropriate context and views obstacles as solvable challenges.
- Present calculated risk mitigation plans to deliver exceptional results.
- Incorporates new thinking to deliver smart, novel technical solutions. Consistently demonstrates excellent follow-through on project commitments.
- Cultivates a culture of openness and information sharing. Feeds timely information to keep senior management well informed; caters message to audience with some guidance.

Stipend:
65-75K per month based on skill assessment and interview.
Duration of Research Assignment:
12 months
