General Terms & Conditions –
- The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
- No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.

Educational Qualifications – M.Sc. in any branch of Biology with two years of research experience. The candidates should also have qualified for any ‘National Level Examination’ (NET), as per DST OM dated 30.01.2019.
Job Description: The candidate should be capable of carrying out cell biology experiments in human cells, independent experiments on biochemistry, molecular biology and confocal microscopy-based imaging. The candidates should be able to handle mice and carry out animal studies.
Emoluments – The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments of Rs.35,000/- per month plus 24% HRA (As per DST OM dated 30.01.2019).

- Can you describe your experience with cell biology experiments in human cells and independent experiments in biochemistry, molecular biology, and confocal microscopy-based imaging? Answer: I have extensive experience in conducting cell biology experiments in human cells, including techniques such as cell culture, cell transfection, and cell imaging. Additionally, I have independently performed experiments in biochemistry and molecular biology, including protein purification, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and Western blotting. I am also proficient in confocal microscopy-based imaging techniques for visualizing cellular structures and protein localization. Overall, my experience in these areas makes me well-equipped to carry out the required experiments for this project.
- Have you worked with animal models and conducted animal studies? Can you provide examples of the type of animal studies you have conducted? Answer: Yes, I have experience working with animal models and conducting animal studies. In previous projects, I have worked with mice as an animal model. I have conducted studies involving various experimental procedures, such as drug administration, sample collection, and behavioral assessments in mice. For example, I conducted a study investigating the effects of a potential therapeutic compound on tumor growth in a mouse model of cancer. These experiences have provided me with the necessary skills and knowledge to handle mice and carry out animal studies effectively.
- How do you ensure the accuracy and reliability of experimental results in your research? Can you discuss your approach to quality control and data integrity? Answer: Ensuring accuracy and reliability of experimental results is crucial in research. To maintain quality control and data integrity, I follow standardized protocols and experimental procedures meticulously. I document all steps and variables involved in the experiments, including reagent details, instrument settings, and environmental conditions. I perform appropriate controls and replicate experiments to validate the results. Additionally, I keep detailed records of all data, ensuring proper organization and archiving. Regular discussions with my research team and cross-validation of results contribute to data accuracy and reliability.
- Have you previously worked on projects involving the interregulation between tumor suppressors, specifically p53 and BLM helicase? If so, can you describe your contributions and findings? Answer: While I haven’t specifically worked on the interregulation between p53 and BLM helicase, my research experience and knowledge of these tumor suppressors allow me to grasp the importance and potential implications of studying their interregulation. I have worked on related projects investigating the role of various proteins and pathways in cancer biology. My expertise in cell biology, molecular biology, and microscopy techniques can be applied effectively to elucidate the mechanism and consequences of the interregulation between p53 and BLM helicase.
- Can you provide an example of a project where you successfully managed a one-year contract or the duration of a project? How did you ensure timely completion and effective coordination with team members? Answer: In a previous research project, I was appointed on a one-year contract basis to investigate the molecular mechanisms of a specific disease pathway. To ensure timely completion, I developed a comprehensive project plan with specific milestones and deadlines. I regularly communicated with my team members, including principal investigators and fellow researchers, to coordinate experimental work and share progress updates. Effective time management, regular team meetings, and proactive problem-solving allowed us to successfully complete the project within the allocated time frame while achieving the desired outcomes.
