Register for the Hands on Confocal Microscopy Imaging Basic Course- 2016
TRPVB is an unique partnership programme between Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and Tamil nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) in the field of translational research for Veterinary Biologicals. The research team includes an amalgamated combination of academia / industry and regulatory experts who can leverage and assist clients in various stages of product development. It is housed in one of the leading Veterinary Universities in India which would provide the much needed academic ambiance and act as a knowledge hub for information resources.
The idea evolved through the deliberations and discussions at a translational research workshop conducted at TANUVAS in January 2011, which had the participation of Secretary DBT, academicians from various national and international institutions such as Virginia Tech University, USA and industrial stakeholders. There was a consensus among all the experts on the need for a platform that would converge the requirements of academia, industry and regulation for efficient productization of veterinary biologicals.
A need for a knowledge hub which would facilitate a favorable eco-system to lure investments in this virgin area of veterinary sciences, was also recognized. Hence, this platform was initiated at TANUVAS and
was christened as Translational Research Platform for Veterinary Biologicals (TRPVB) to realize the dream and vision of DBT and TANUVAS.About the program:
TRPVB conducts hands on training on basic techniques of Confocal Microscopy and its clinical application every year. This training at TRPVB will provide basics on Confocal Microscopy, processing and imaging samples hands on under the accomplished faculty members of TRPVB and external experts.
Theme:
TRPVB invites applications for 3 days hands on training on basic application of Confocal Microscopy. The training course gives an opportunity for the participants to have hands-on training on principles and components of confocal microscope, sample processing, use of multiple fluorescent tags, imaging and documentation.

Registration fees: Rs.5000/- (ONLY BY DD)
Registration will be on First-Come-First-Serve basis
No accommodation and transport facility will be provided.

by mail before 17/09/2016. - The participants have to take care of their travel and accommodation. The candidates would be informed of their selection by E-mail at least a week in advance.
- The training slot will be confirmed upon receipt of their course fees within the stipulated time in the form of DD in favor of “Director, TRPVB”, Payable at Chennai for Rs. 5000/- .
