Age: The upper age limitation is 35 years as on 20/01/2021 which is relaxable based on SERB/CSIR rules.
Period: The position is purely short-term for 4 months. It would, therefore, not confer any kind of right/claim implicit or explicit for any kind of applicant for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR.

Monthly Emoluments & Qualifications:
- Rs. 35000/- + HRA for M. Sc. (Biochemistry/Biotechnology) from a recognized university or equivalent and also 2 years experience in R&D in Industrial as well as Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific Activities and Services WITH scholars who are chosen through (a) National eligibility tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) National level exams conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutes.
- Rs. 28000/- + HRA for M. Sc. (Biochemistry/Biotechnology) from a recognized university or equal and 2 years experience in R&D in Industrial and also Academic Institutions or Science and also Technology Organizations and Scientific Activities and also Services.
Job Requirements:
The selected candidate will work on the DST-SERB funded project entitled “Studies on macrolide antibiotics: Application of genetic approaches for drug discovery”. The chosen candidate is expected to perform microbial culture, preparation of microbial/ algal extracts and also carry out bioassay-guided fractionation to isolate pure compounds employing chromatographic methods & determine their structures making use of advanced NMR and also MS techniques.
