PhD Positions in Predictive and Systems Biology

We are seeking two highly motivated and talented PhD students to join our research group. Our lab focuses on cutting-edge research in single-cell genomics and liquid biopsy, aiming to bridge the gap between computational modeling and experimental biology.
Position Details
Number of Positions: 02
Principal Investigator: Dr. Vibhor Kumar
Research Focus: Predictive and Systems Biology
Emoluments: ₹60,000 per month.
Note: Candidates with their own fellowships will receive a top-up to match this amount.
Eligibility & Skills
We are looking for candidates from diverse backgrounds who possess a strong academic record and a passion for multidisciplinary research.
Educational Background
M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Bioscience, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
Core Requirements
- Proficiency in programming (R or Python).
- Solid understanding of Biological Sciences.
- Prior experience in Computational Biology is highly preferred.
Specialized Skill Sets (Preferred)
Applicants should ideally demonstrate expertise in one of the following areas:
- Computational: Coding in R/Python, Data Science concepts, and Machine Learning.
- Experimental: Molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA purification) and familiarity with cell culture.
Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Developing and applying computational frameworks for systems biology.
- Analyzing high-throughput single-cell and liquid biopsy data.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to advance lab projects.
