About the Role
The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing strategies and executing plans to drive continuous improvements in safety
, quality, delivery, and cost within Cepheid’s manufacturing processes. This role involves equipment validation, process optimization, and technical collaboration with global teams in the US, Sweden, and India.Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation and validation processes for new or existing equipment and products in compliance with company, IVD, and GMP standards.
- Prepare and maintain documentation in accordance with QMS requirements, including validation plans, SOPs, protocols, and reports.
- Apply continuous improvement tools to boost production uptime, reduce unplanned maintenance, and minimize WIP or plant inventories.
- Implement cost-reduction initiatives across equipment and labor.
- Collaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams across the US, Sweden, and India.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology or related engineering fields.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the medical device/IVD sectors.
- Strong knowledge of equipment and product validation for medical device manufacturing.
- Understanding of mechanical design and machinery (mixing processes, motors, pumps, vacuum, hydraulics).
- Prior experience working in a regulated environment (ISO, GMP, Medical Device regulations).
