Job Summary
Fermenta Biotech Limited is seeking a skilled biotech production professional with proven expertise in both upstream and downstream processes, fermentation operations, cGMP compliance, and critical shift management. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of biotech manufacturing processes for high-quality pharmaceutical API production.
Key Responsibilities
- Upstream & Downstream Process Handling: Operate, monitor, and maintain fermentation, purification, and recovery systems for biotech products.
- Fermentation Expertise: Manage fermentation media preparation, inoculation, and harvesting to maximize yield and quality.
- Dry Heat Sterilization: Perform sterilization of equipment and media by SOPs.
- Critical Shift Process Management: Oversee and troubleshoot operations during critical production shifts.
- cGMP & Documentation Compliance: Maintain accurate batch records, process logs, and compliance documents.
- Troubleshooting & Process Optimization: Identify issues, propose solutions, and support process improvement initiatives.
- Safety & SOP Adherence: Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with QA, QC, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Graduate in Science (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field).
- Minimum 3 years of biotech production experience in fermentation and upstream/downstream processing.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and documentation standards.
- Hands-on experience in dry heat sterilization and fermentation systems.
- Proficient in operating biotech equipment and instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
