Role Summary
As a Lead Process Engineer, you will
be the technical anchor driving validation, installation, and optimization of new/existing equipment and manufacturing processes. Your role is pivotal in ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) improvements across Cepheid’s IVD production lines, contributing directly to better patient care.Biotechnology Job at Cepheid – Key Responsibilities
- Lead equipment/process validation and installation as per GMP and IVD standards.
- Develop and manage validation plans, SOPs, protocols, and reports in compliance with QMS.
- Execute and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, WIP, and operational cost.
- Conduct data analysis to establish optimal material and process specifications.
- Collaborate globally with teams in India, US, and Sweden for technical alignment.
- Train personnel on new processes, quality standards, and equipment changes.
Biotechnology Job at Cepheid – Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biotechnology, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing within Medical Device/IVD sectors.
- Hands-on experience in equipment validation, process optimization, and GMP documentation.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (pumps, motors, hydraulics, vacuum systems).
- Familiarity with ISO, GMP, and medical device regulations.
Preferred Skills
- Global team collaboration and communication experience.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in documentation and oral/written communication in English.
