About Team: The Antibody Team
The Antibody Team is involved in antibody engineering and development, with a deep focus on reagent quality and specificity. The core activities of the team include design, development, purification, conjugation, and validation of these antibodies in a variety of immunoassay applications (WB, ICC, IHC, ELISA, Flow cytometry, ChIP, IP, etc.) using groundbreaking tools and technologies. The team aims at advanced product development and the creation of product-specific information to promote research use.
About the Role
- To be a part of the antibody validation module and contribute to the antibody development workstreams.
- To validate antibodies for reproducibility and specificity, using groundbreaking methods.
Responsibilities
- Independent experimental planning and execution to meet program goals and schedules.
- Timely record-keeping of results into data sheets and laboratory notebooks.
- Regular mining of literature and staying up-to-date with developments in the field of antibody development, validation, and protein biology. Conceptualize to recommend improvements in product development and workflows.
- Compilation and presentation of data in written and oral formats to various audiences including collaborators and leadership. Active participation in team meetings.
- Mentoring junior scientists and providing in-lab supervision.
Candidate Requirement
Education & Experience levels:
Master’s degree with over 5 years of experience or PhD with over 2 years of experience in cell/molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry required.
Nature of experience:
Extensive experience and familiarity with the design and development of protein assays.
Understanding biochemical, cellular, and molecular biology techniques for protein characterization.
Theoretical or practical experience in antibody development platforms is desirable.
Project or work experience in support of relevant skills such as publications, project reports, or thesis work.
Skills:
Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and has strong statistical knowledge.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who excels at applying new concepts and values teamwork.
