Job Description

Quality
In our Quality team, we collaborate on a large scale, focusing on making sure everything is correct, effective and efficient to bring the highest-quality and most competitive products and services to our customers and their patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guidance on supplier-related projects relative to products, policies, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborates with cross functional partners such as Quality Engineering, R&D, Operations, Medical, Marketing to onboard new suppliers and seek their support in addressing supplier quality issues.
- Implement Supplier Quality Management best practices.
- Key contact/liaison with Quality departments to drive consistency in practices as needed.
- Develops training content and provides supplier quality systems related training at the Unit and Manufacturing Site locations.
- Performs Supplier audits and conduct supplier quality ongoing assessments as required including for-cause audits, and complete follow-up and closure of any non-conformances.

- Author, negotiate, and finalize Quality Agreements with suppliers
- Support identification of prospective suppliers
- Facilitate, manage, and track supplier progress toward Approved status, supporting both new product development launches and sustaining engineering changes
- Provide Supplier Quality Assurance support to all existing suppliers and assigned projects (including suppliers for new product development).
- Collect and archive all relevant Supplier documentation and required statements.
- Support Supplier Quality performance monitoring as Supplier Quality Engineer.
- Manage changes initiated by suppliers while coordinating with the appropriate project teams
- Support problem solving activities with assigned Suppliers related to escalated customer complaints or manufacturing deviations
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must demonstrate a working understanding of the pertinent Quality Systems Regulations (i.e.: Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO, FDA, MDSAP, MDD/MDR).
- Lead Auditor experience required; certified lead auditor preferred.
- Proven ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity, using policies and procedures for guidance.
- Capable of using Microsoft programs and ability to learn other systems.
- Working knowledge of statistical methods as well as statistical application software.
- Working knowledge of Part Production Approval Process (PPAP).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills preferred for Supplier Quality Engineer.
- The ability to work in teams and independently with minimal supervision to obtain results as required.
- Must be self-motivated/directed, organized, detail oriented and have ability to multi-task projects.
- Professional certification is an advantage (i.e. CQA, CQE, SQE, CQM, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Ability to travel 15-20%
Education and Experience:
- BS degree in Life Science or Engineering highly preferred
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience or a combination of equivalent education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as Internal and/or Supplier Lead Auditor
