Project Name: Understanding the Molecular Mechanism in Ceramide Induced Pathological Activation of Nek7/Nlrp3-Inflammasome.
Project Description:
NLRP3 inflammasome has been implicated in a wide range of diseases. Few studies have reported on the NLRP3-NEK7-complex axis role in disease pathogenesis. The functional role of NLRP3 needs to be explored further to gain deeper insights into the NEK7 role in human immune or inflammatory-mediated functions. Overall, this study will be critical in identifying and facilitating the development of therapeutic regimes for better treatments of NLRP3 inflammasome-related inflammatory diseases.
We are looking for motivated individuals with good academic standing who are interested in exploring career opportunities in this innovative multi-organization initiative undertaken by NIBMG in the positions mentioned below:
Position: Project Associate – I
Number of Positions: 1
Remuneration: ₹31,000/- + 9% HRA*
*Note: If no suitable candidate is found, candidates who do not fall under (a) or (b) above may be considered for ₹25,000/- + 9% HRA.
Essential Qualifications:
- MSc in Biotechnology/Zoology/Molecular Biology/Microbiology or a related field in Life Sciences from a recognized university.
- Must be selected through:
(a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship), or GATE, or
(b) A selection process through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior experience in animal cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular biology techniques, or bioinformatics analysis is desirable.
Nature of Duty:
- Execution of the project work.
- Organize the workflow and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Organize research documents and other related matters as per PI instructions.
Age Limit: 35 years as on the last date of application.

This position is contractual, and appointments will initially be for one year, extendable depending on performance and project requirements.
