WALK–IN INTERVIEW FOR THE POST OF YOUNG PROFESSIONAL-II
Applications are invited for engagement of Young Professional-II (1 no.) under the approved externally funded ICAR project “All India Network Project on Emerging Pests-Sub component-2- Studies on Fusarium head blight of wheat, its occurrence, variation in pathogens and host resistance” (Project Code 12-198-D). Eligible candidates should mail their complete CV as per the attached format giving full details of academic records and experience along with self-attested photocopy of the supporting documents, all in one merged file. Essential Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree in Agriculture/Horticultural Science/Basic Plant Sciences as per ICAR OM No. F. No. Agril. Edn. 1-06/2020-A&P dated 04.12.2020.
- Master’s degree in Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Plant Pathology/Mycology and Plant Pathology/Plant Biotechnology/Genomics/Life Sciences.
Desirable:
- Expertise in molecular biology/molecular plant pathological methods/Bioinformatics.
- Working experience in field/agricultural crops.
The walk-in interview for the shortlisted candidates will be held on 31st January 2025 by 11.00 A.M. onwards at IARI Regional Station, Wellington.
Terms & Conditions
- Age limit: Maximum age 45 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST/Women and three years for OBC) for Young Professional-II.
- The above post is purely temporary, time-bound, and co-terminus with the project. Appointment will be initially for one year and further extension on a yearly basis based on the progress and fund availability.
- The selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment at the Institute as the position is co-terminus with the project.
- The interview of eligible candidates will be held according to the schedule given above.
- The candidates will have to compulsorily bring the filled-in application form (as per the format annexed), all the original certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificates, etc., either in original or provisional and one set of the self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested/self-attested recent passport size photograph pasted on the application form. Proof of experience and publications also need to be submitted.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- If more candidates turn up for the interview, only the candidates having essential qualifications and shortlisted based on a written test would be interviewed.
- Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination of such candidates.
- The candidates are required to submit the application at the time of the interview as per the format annexed along with the declaration.
- The candidate intending to attend the interview, if any of his/her near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, has to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, and relationship in advance in writing so as to reach the IARI, RS Wellington e-mail [email protected] by 20th January 2025. If on the date of the interview such a declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidates will not be allowed for the interview.
- All the other candidates are also required to compulsorily furnish the declaration duly signed and submitted on the date of the interview.
- The candidates have to strictly submit the form annexed (typed/filled) duly signed and submit it on the date of the interview.
