RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION [Walk-In Interview]
Applications are invited for the recruitment of one (1) Research Associate, two (2) Senior Research Fellows (SRFs), one (1) Project Assistant, and one (1) Semi-skilled support staff under the DBT-funded Indo-Australia project “RNA-based biopesticides for sustainable crop protection” in the Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi- 110012.
The eligible candidates may appear for the walk-in interview on 24 January 2025 at 10:00 AM along with their complete bio-data in a prescribed Application Format. The interested candidates may send their duly filled application in advance as per the enclosed format (download application format from the link) along with a copy of scanned documents through email to [email protected] or may carry a hard copy for the interview. Single merged PDF files will only be accepted.

The monthly fellowship/emolument may be revised subject to DBT approval.

Candidates having post-graduate degrees in Basic Sciences with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in SR/S9/Z-09/2018 dated 30 January 2019 and DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26-6-2023 of DST. Desirable: Experience in molecular cloning, and handling insects, plants, and viruses. |

Important Instructions:
- Do not send hard copies of the application format or certificates by post.
- Application format deviating from the format will not be considered and no communication in this regard will be entertained.
- No call letters will be issued. Applicants are expected to be present at the interview venue on the said date and time. Bring hard copies of the duly filled application in the prescribed format along with one set of self-attested photocopies of their certificates and original certificates with two copies of recent passport-size photos for verification.
- Late arrival (after 10:00 AM) of applicants for the interview will be considered as ABSENT.
Terms & Conditions:
- For the details of qualifications and other requirements of the post, please refer to ICAR Office Memorandum F. No. Ag. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dated 30th July, 2019 and OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 dated 30 January 2019 and DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26-6-2023 of DST. Two years of research experience is required for SRF.
- Age limit: The maximum is 35 years for men and 40 years for women. Relaxation of age limits in case of Women/SC/ST/OBC/Persons with disabilities/PWD candidates as per Government norms will be given.
- The candidates should compulsorily bring two copies of the duly filled application form in the prescribed proforma only (Given in Annexure-I & II), two passport-size photographs, and one set of self-attested photocopies of their certificates/ mark-sheets/ experience proof, etc. Applicants must bring with them original documents at the time of the interview for verification.
- Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
- No objection certificate from the employer, in case he/ she has employment.
- Candidates whose near/ distant relative(s) is an employee of the ICAR/ IARI, have to declare it and communicate this office as per the format given below.
- Candidates reaching after a specified time may not ordinarily be entertained.
- Canvassing in any form would lead to disqualification of the candidate.
- No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- The selected candidates shall not claim any regular appointments at this institute as the above position is purely contractual, non-regular, time-bound, and co-terminus with the project.
- The Director, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi reserves the right to cancel/postpone the interview or cancel specific posts without assigning any reason thereof.
- The Director, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi reserves the right to terminate the contract of the job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be entertained.
- In case of any dispute, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of the New Delhi Court only.
- The decision of the competent authority will be final and binding in all respects.
- Reporting time for interview: 10:00 AM at the Division of Plant Pathology. Candidates reaching after a specified time may not ordinarily be entertained.
