Name of the Project: Enhancing photosynthesis potential, crop yield, and conferring tolerance to abiotic stresses by overexpression of different isoforms of Protochlorophyllide Oxidoreductase in rice
Description: This is a DBT-sponsored project. The work will be conducted at Sharda University, which has well-equipped molecular biology and plant tissue culture facilities. The JRF can pursue a Ph.D. through this project.

Principal Investigator: Prof. B C Tripathy, Dept. of Biotechnology, Sharda University, Greater Noida
Minimum Qualifications: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Botany, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Agricultural Sciences, Plant Sciences, or Allied Sciences with CSIR/UGC NET-JRF/LS or DBT-JRF or ARS-NET (ICAR) or GATE qualification is required.
Desirable: Experience in plant molecular biology, including RNA isolation and real-time PCR, and plant tissue culture.
Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA as per rules per month (Consolidated)
Tenure: The position is for three years, starting from January 1, 2025. Temporary and renewable
each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years. The position is co-terminus with the project.Walk-in Interview:

- Appointment is purely temporary.
- The appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency applicable to the said project.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
