Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Research Associate-I in the DBT-funded project entitled “Augmenting off-the-shelf γδ T cell therapy in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) by targeted regulation of EZH2” in the Laboratory of Dr. Sunil Martin at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Akkulam Campus, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences with project experience in mammalian epigenetics.
- Candidates who have already submitted the Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply.
- Excellent academic records with 80% and above marks in MTech/M.Sc. in Biotechnology.
- Bench experience in genetic engineering.
- Prior biomedical laboratory experience in academia or industry in molecular biology, epigenetics, immunology, cancer biology, or cell and gene therapy.
- Aptitude for designing, organizing, and executing experiments on the bench.
- Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for pursuing a research career.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- National Junior Research Fellowships such as ICMR, DBT, CSIR, or UGC.
- Fine skills in molecular biology and immune cell culture.
- Publications in national or international journals.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in collaborative teams.
- Accountability to complete the project.
- Experience in an international research environment is a plus.
AGE
- Below 40 years as of December 26, 2024.
- Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
EMOLUMENT
- ₹58,000/- + 18% HRA per month.
DURATION
- Initially for a period of one year or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier).
- Extendable based on performance evaluation.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Applications should be submitted online.
- Candidates currently working in Government firms should send applications through the proper channel.
- Last date for receiving completed applications: December 26, 2024.
- Separate applications must be submitted for each position if applying for multiple positions.
- Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise).
- As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus with the end of the project.
- Applications not in the prescribed format will be summarily rejected.
