Walk-in-interview for Junior Research Assistant (JRA) position under UPCST funded project

Applications are invited for the position of ONE Junior Research Assistant (JRA) to work in the UPCST-sponsored project entitled “Investigating the Therapeutic Potential of Capsicum annuum Ethanolic Extract in Arsenic-Induced Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI)” (Project ID: 4023) vide Sanction letter no. CST/D-789 under the supervision of the undersigned. The position is temporary and is available immediately up to two years or based on the candidate’s performance each year.
Duration: 2 years or up to the termination of the project.

Key Details
1. Essential Qualifications:
- M.Sc. (Life sciences)/Toxicology, M.S. (Pharm.) or M. Pharm. in Pharmacology or Pharmacology & Toxicology/Biotechnology.
- PG degree in other relevant branches of life sciences.
- High academic achievement with 1st class graduate and post-graduate examination with fulfillment of basic qualification.
2. Desirable Skills:
- Exposure to cell culture, histology, molecular biology, and animal handling.
- Other relevant experimental skills.
3. Age Limit and UP Domicile: Maximum 28 years as of 1st April 2024
(age relaxation for SC/ST/PH as per GoI rules). Candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.4. Tenure of Appointment: 2 years. Performance will be evaluated at the end of the first year and extended for one more year based on satisfactory performance.
5. Consolidated Stipend: INR 25,000/- per month for the 2-year duration (without HRA, CCA, PF, LTC, medical claim, etc.). Governed by the funding agency CST U.P. guidelines and NIPER-Raebareli service conditions.

- The candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.

- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Since the position is purely temporary, no claim for regular appointment or continuation of services in any other project will be entertained.

- The interview will be held tentatively on 6th December 2024 at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Raebareli Bijnor-Sisendi Road, Sarojini Nagar, Near CRPF Base Camp, Lucknow.
- Please note that no TA/DA will be given to the candidates called for the interview. The
candidate should come along with their original certificates at 12:00 pm on the scheduled date.
The above post is purely temporary and is a co-terminus with the project.
