Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.
Project Title: “LSDV Research Project”
PI: Mr. Sarwar Azam.
1. Post Code: Young Professional (1 Position)
Tenable upto: Six Months.
Essential Qualification: M. Sc (Bioinformatics/Computational Biology) with a minimum of three years of experience.
Desirable Experience:
- Strong knowledge of programming languages
- Strong hands-on experience with the Linux operating system, including shell scripting and pipeline automation
- Knowledge of database design and development
- Knowledge of NGS data processing and analysis
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Candidate with experience in viral genome assembly (LSDV) and end-to-end sequence characterization will be preferred
Fellowship amount: Rs. 50,000/- PM (Consolidated).
Age: 35 years.

2. Post Code: Junior Research Fellow (1 Position)
Tenable upto: Six Months.
Essential Qualification: M. Sc (Bioinformatics/Computational Biology)
Desirable Experience:
- Strong knowledge of programming languages
- Strong hands-on experience with the Linux operating system, including shell scripting and pipeline automation
- Knowledge of database design and development
- Knowledge of NGS data processing and analysis
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Fellowship amount: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA (If applicable).
Age: 30 years.
Application Instructions:
The walk-in interview will be conducted in a hybrid format on January 3, 2025. Candidates can either attend in person between 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM or participate online. For online interviews, applicants must submit their resume, photograph, and duly self-attested supporting documents (date of birth proof, education qualification, experience certificate) in a single PDF to [email protected] by January 2, 2025, by 5 PM.
