The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (www.instem.res.in), Bangalore, is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. iBRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, emphasize translational research to develop solutions in focused areas, promote collaborative interdisciplinary teams to address questions that go beyond the scope of a single laboratory.

Essential Qualification: (i) Doctoral Degree or submitted thesis (awaiting defense viva) in Science from a recognized university or equivalent in Stem Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, and/or Molecular Biology.(ii) Desirable: 1–2 years of post-PhD experience |
– Stem cell biology research requiring techniques including stem cell culture, all steps of quality control, and differentiation of human stem cells and organoids as per prescribed protocols. – Preparation of microscopy samples and imaging. – Routine molecular biology work such as cloning, nucleic acid isolation, RT-PCR, and nucleic acid sequencing. – Planning experiments, ordering reagents, and adhering to protocols. – Regular data analysis, project updates, literature surveys, and presentation of data. – Participating in project team meetings and contributing intellectually to projects. – Preparing professional reports, presentations, and lab records. |

– Master’s Degree in Life Sciences/MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized university or equivalent. |
– Cell biology research requiring techniques like cell culture, maintenance of stocks, and transfection. – Planning experiments, ordering reagents, and adhering to protocols. – Preparation of microscopy samples and imaging. – Routine molecular biology work such as cloning, nucleic acid isolation, RT-PCR, and nucleic acid sequencing. – Regular data analysis, project updates, literature surveys, and presentation of data. – Preparing professional reports, presentations, and lab records. – Stem cell-related experience preferred. |
Tenure: Contractual appointment for 11 months, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.
