About the Team:
The antibody team focuses on engineering and developing antibodies with a strong emphasis
on reagent quality and specificity. Core activities include:- Design, development, purification, conjugation, and testing of antibodies in various immunoassay applications.
- Advanced product development and creating product-specific information to promote research use.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Be part of the molecular biology and sequencing core facility within the antibody development team to advance innovative molecular biology techniques for high-throughput recombinant antibody platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in a fast-paced environment focusing on antibody development and testing.
- Lead molecular biology and core facility operations to develop next-generation methodologies, vector improvements, and cloning strategies for high-throughput workflows.
- Provide informal leadership to scientists in a matrix-style operation, including technical and operational supervision, mentoring, and training.
- Develop and transfer successful protocols to operational teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in molecular biology, sequencing, and antibody development, driving innovation and cross-team collaborations.
- Collaborate with product management, program management, operations, and business development to achieve program goals.
Candidate Requirements:
Education & Experience Levels:
- PhD with 4-5 years’ experience, or
- Master’s degree with 5-10 years’ experience
- Minimum 3-4 years of industrial experience required
- Degree in life sciences with a strong focus on next-generation molecular biology, sequencing technologies, and antibody development
Nature of Experience:
- Extensive experience in antibody development and engineering, including hybridoma, display technologies, single B cell, and other antibody platforms.
- Broad knowledge in molecular biology, vector design, next-generation cloning, miniaturized strategies for high-throughput gene-to-protein workflows, Sanger and next-generation sequencing, and antibody sequencing.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to establish new protocols and workflows.
- Leadership experience in molecular biology and/or sequencing core facilities.
- Experience mentoring individuals with or without direct reporting responsibilities.
- Authorship of peer-reviewed publications, post-doctoral experience, and expertise in emerging trends are preferred.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic research environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and statistical software (e.g., Prism).
