Main Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Medical Review Excellence team within the Chief Medical Affairs Office (CMAO).
- Conduct medical review of promotional and sales training materials, including but not limited to:
- Health Care Professional (HCP) promotional aids
- Web/Social media content
- Training materials
- Advertisements
- Consumer promotions
- Conventions/meetings
- Ensure that:
- Claims are accurate, truthful, non-misleading, and align with Core Claims, Common Technical, and/or other regulatory documents.
- References are adequate and fully support relevant claims.
- Claims are consistent with the specified reference label used.
- Collaborate with Medical Leads and Marketing Leads to coordinate reviews of promotional, sales training, and medical-to-medical materials.
- Provide training and mentorship to new team members for assigned review activities.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Identify and communicate potential areas for process improvement and solutions to management.
- Conduct pre-medical review of assigned therapy area sales training materials and Patient Health and Impact (PHI) materials.
- Assess review requirements, gauge complexity, and identify gaps or issues.
- Collaborate with Marketing/Commercial/Medical Leads to manage accurate review allocations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across departments to ensure coordinated workflows.
- Ensure assigned reviews comply with relevant internal SOPs and external regulatory guidance, alerting project teams of deviations when necessary.
Technical Skills:
- Review/QC Skills: Strong review and QC skills; experience in promotional or content review is an asset.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing scientific claims against references; familiarity with statistical and epidemiologic principles is desirable. Capable of conducting and interpreting medical and safety analyses independently.
- Language Skills: High fluency in written English and strong functional fluency in spoken English.
- Personal Skills: Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective influencing and negotiation skills; ability to guide document content strategy, collaborate with cross-functional global teams, and mentor junior colleagues and external vendors.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with global regulatory guidance (ICH, FDA, EMA) related to clinical and safety aspects.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with common data presentation and analysis software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and searching academic databases.
- Scientific Writing: Ability to synthesize medical and scientific data into clear text without supervision.
- Medical Knowledge: Understands disease concepts and treatment approaches.
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Senior Medical Manager.
- Works closely with Global/US Medical Affairs and commercial leads.

Education:
- Graduate/Post-graduate/Doctorate degree in life sciences, Pharmacy, Medical sciences, or equivalent fields.
Experience:
- 3-4 years relevant experience for medical graduates, PhDs, and master’s degree holders in life sciences; more than 6 years for science graduates.
- Minimum 3 years in medical writing within an agency, CRO, Pharma/Biotech Company.
- Experience collaborating with global stakeholders and managing strict timelines.
- Prior experience in conducting medical reviews or QC of regulatory documents preferred.
