Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following project positions.

Project Title: “Mission Program on Pediatric Rare Genetic Disorders” (Funded by DBT)
Principal Investigator: Dr. P V Ramchander
Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- + 16% HRA per month
Essential Qualifications:
Master’s Degree with 1st class in Life Sciences or Computational Biology/ Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.

Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma / MD / MS from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable: Experience in Genomics/cytogenetics/NGS wet-lab & data analysis and tools & techniques used in human genetic research.
Nature of the work: Handling of biological samples, cataloging
, isolation of DNA/RNA, MLPA/Sanger Sequencing, NGS library preparation and sequencing, data analysis, variant interpretation, report writing, and manuscript preparation.Age Limit: The candidate should be below 40 years in age, as on 27.08.2024. An age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India rules.
