Walk-in-interview for the eligible candidates will be held on purely temporary basis in IMR/EMR research project at Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), 4 CN Block, Bidhannagar, Sec. V, Kolkata-700091. The required qualifications and other details are as under:-

Post I

Title of project and Duration: Evaluation of Neuroprotective potential of Brahmi Ghrita Panchgavya Ghrita and Ayush 56 in epilepsy model, its functional significance and mechanism

Duration: 2 years

Name & Number of Post: Junior Research Fellow (Life Sciences)

Qualification/ Experience and age limit:

Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Biochemistry /Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Molecular Biology/ Microbiology/ Immunology/Life Sciences/ Pharmacology/Toxicology/ M.V.S.C. Pharmacology/Masters in Medical Lab Technology

Desirable: Experience in handling of RT-PCR and Western Blotting

Age limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on 01.01.2024

Monthly remuneration: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA@ 27%

Post II

Title of project and Duration: Chemopreventive Effects

of Opuntia elatior Fruits Against Chemotherapy-Induced Toxicity in Ovarian Cancer Pre-Clinical Models

Duration: 1.5 years

Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Biochemistry /Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Molecular Biology/ Microbiology/ Immunology/Life Sciences/ Pharmacology/Toxicology/ M.V.S.C. Pharmacology/Masters in Medical Lab Technology

Desirable: Experience in handling of RT-PCR and Western Blotting

Age limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on 01.01.2024

Post III

Title of project and Duration: Isolation, Identification, Characterization and in-vitro evaluation of the biological activities of Bacterial Endophytes from selected medicinal plants

Duration: 3 years

Name & Number of Post: Junior Research Fellow (Microbiology/ Biotechnology)

Qualification/ Experience and age limit:

Essential: M.Sc. or equivalent in Microbiology or Biotechnology from recognized university

Desirable: Hands on training and experience on basic microbiological and molecular biological techniques for minimum 06 months Experience to work in an NABL (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) certified Lab for minimum 06 months

Age limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on 01.01.2024

Monthly remuneration: Rs. 37,000/- per month + 27% HRA (as per the rule)

Post IV

Title of project and Duration: Exploring protective potential of selected species of Dioscorea in process of aging and Alzheimer’s disease using Drosophila and rat animal models.

Duration: 02 years

Name & Number of Post: Senior Research Fellow (Pharmacology) No. of Post-01

Qualification/ Experience and age limit:

Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree from recognized university/ Institute in M.V.Sc./ M.Pharm. / M.S (Pharm.). M.Pharm. (Ayurveda) or M.Sc. in Zoology/Biotechnology with minimum two years experience.

Desirable: The preference will be given to candidate with two years hands experience on animal experimentation.

Age limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on 01.01.2024

Monthly remuneration: Rs. 42,000/- per month + 27% HRA (as per the rule)

Notes:

1. The engagement will be purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project and no claim for regular/permanent appointment will be entertained.
2. The engagement will be initially for a period of six months, which may be extended up to the tenure of the project subject to satisfactory performance.
3. The eligibility of candidates in respect of age will be determined as on 01.01.2024 & relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt, of India rules.
4. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
