Subject: Revision of Emoluments under Career Fellowships of Department of Biotechnology.
The Department of Biotechnology has revised the emoluments under Career Fellowship Programmes with effective from 1st April, 2024, the revised emoluments are as below:

| Biotechnology Career Advancement and Re-orientation (BioCARE) Programme | Category-I: Rs. 68,000/- (consolidated incl. HRA) | Category-I: Rs. 75,000/- (consolidated incl. HRA) |
| Category-II: Rs. 50,000/- (consolidated incl. HRA) | Category-II: Rs. 58,000/- (consolidated incl. HRA) | |
| MK Bhan-Young Researcher Fellowship Programme (MKB-YRF) | Rs. 75,000/- (consolidated incl. HRA) | Rs. 90,000/- (consolidated incl. HRA) |
- No separate House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be allowed.
- The grantee institutions are advised to pay the arrears, on account of revision, if any, to the Fellows.
- Other terms and conditions of the fellowships remain unchanged.
- This issues with the approval of the Secretary, DBT and AS&FA, DBT vide e-File No. HRD-16011/2/2024-HRD-DBT dated 12.07.2024.
