Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.

Project Title: Development of transgenic chicken as bioreactor for easy and cost effective production of human therapeutic proteins – tissue plasminogen activator (htPA) and erythropoietin (hERP).

PI: Dr. Nirmalya Ganguli.

Post Code: Young Professional – II (YP-II) (1 Position)

Tenable upto: One year, likely to extended based on performance and co-terminus with the duration of the project (July, 2025).

Eligibility: Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, etc.).

Experience: (Candidate with prior experience in any of the following areas will be preferred.)

1. Various molecular biology techniques, like RT-PCR, QRT-PCR, Immunohistochemistry, Immune cytochemistry, Droplet Digital PCR, protein purification and western blot analysis,
2. Generation of an expression vector by molecular cloning and its in-vitro characterization, culture, and maintenance of cell lines,
3. Generation of expression vector for genome editing (knock-out and knock-in) using CRISP – Cas9 tools,
4. Cell sorting by FACS/MACS, single-cell sorting, and generation of cell lines.
5. Isolation and culture of Stem cells, transfection, and maintenance of stem cells.
6. Signal Transduction study by functional genomics. vii. Handling and experimentation on rodent models.

Fellowship amount: Rs. 35000/- PM consolidated and other terms as per DST guidelines.

Age: :45 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government Rules)
