ENGAGEMENT OF CONTRACTUAL SCIENTIFIC STAFF

National Forensic Sciences University invites application for following Scientific Staff positions on contractual basis for its campus located at Gandhinagar from exceptionally motivated candidates. NFSU promotes interdisciplinary culture and vouches for scientific staff who can collaborate with scientific fraternity of the University in interdisciplinary areas of Forensic Science and allied branches. NFSU provides unique opportunities for research on the development of technologies related to crime investigation, crime prevention and cyber security. The details of the vacancies are as under:

Junior Scientific Officer (DNA Forensics):

Designation of Post: Junior Scientific Officer (DNA Forensics)

Pay: Consolidated Monthly Salary of Rs.60200/-

Essential Qualifications/ Criteria:

i. Not be more than 35 years of age,

ii. Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Forensic Science with specialization in Forensic Biotechnology

/ Forensic Science#/ Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Genetics / Human Genetics / Molecular Biology / Forensic Biotechnology
OR
B.E./B.Tech. in Biotechnology from a recognized University/Institute

[#Candidate having Master degree in Forensic Science must have studied minimum 4 subjects from any of the above mentioned disciplines at Master’s level.]

iii. Three years’ experience of analytical methods and research in the field of DNA Analysis in any Central Government or State Government organization or recognized research institute or Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central or State Government.

iv. Should have adequate knowledge of English, Hindi, and Computer Proficiency.

Desirable: Specialization in the field of Forensic DNA Technology & Analysis.
