The Roorkee facility is state-of-the-art and is audited and approved by various regulatory agencies including USFDA, Japan PMDA, UK MHRA, TGA, WHO

, and Brazil ANVISA. This business emphasizes a B2B model for EU, Canada, and emerging markets.

Both manufacturing units are supported by around 500 research and development professionals based in Noida and Mysore. R&D works on the development of new products in API, Solid Dosage Formulations of Oral Solid, Sterile Injectable, Semi-Solids Ointments, Creams, and Liquids. BA/BE studies are conducted in-house at our 80-bed facility, which holds accreditations from The Drugs Controller General (India) and international regulatory bodies such as USFDA, EMEA, ANVISA, INFRAMED, NPRA, and AGES MEA for GCP, as well as NABL and CAP accreditations for path lab services.

Job Context:

The role involves analyzing microbiology samples of all materials and maintaining good microbiology practices. Knowledge of handling instruments such as autoclave, air sampler, and compressed air sample is essential.

Challenges:

• Maintaining compliance levels in microbiology programs.
• Promoting advanced aseptic processing technologies within the organization.
• Increasing microbial testing productivity, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implementing rapid microbial methods.
• Setting microbial requirements that consider the analytical capabilities of the test methods.

SCOPE & SIZE OF THE ROLE:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Scope of Work:

• Analysis: Responsible for various sampling analyses, including RM, water samples, swab samples, compressed air monitoring, and microbial load in production areas.
• MLT validation and investigation of deviations, incidents, and OOS.
• Documentation: Recording analytical data and preparing worksheets for RM, finished products, water samples, and swab samples.
• Area maintenance: Proper storage and destruction of samples after testing, and validation/calibration of instruments and equipment.
• Investigation of deviations, incidents, and OOS.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Education Qualification: M.Sc. (Microbiology)
• Experience Range: 4-5 years in microbiology analysis in a regulated and reputed pharmaceutical unit.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Functional Skills:

• Analytical skills as per different pharmacopoeia methods.
• Exposure to method validation is essential.
• Strong foundation in statistical laboratory testing methodologies.

Behavioural Skills:

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, persistence, and results-oriented.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
