As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated and organized Business Manager to join our team.Position:
As the Business Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our laboratory facility. You will manage a team of scientists, ensuring their work aligns with our research objectives and maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency. Additionally, you will serve as a liaison between the scientific team and company founders, providing regular updates on progress and participating in strategic decision-making processes. Furthermore, you will contribute to our marketing efforts by assisting in the preparation of materials and presentations, as well as representing the company at various events and meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate laboratory personnel, including scientists and technicians, to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and within budget.
- Provide regular updates on project status, including milestones achieved, challenges encountered, and proposed solutions.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance laboratory efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, including inventory management, and assist in procurement of necessary materials.
- Collaborate with company founders to strategically build and maintain relationships with clients and collaborators.
- Identify opportunities and implement strategic plans for business growth and service expansion.
- Collaborate in preparing marketing materials, including presentations, and website and social media content, to communicate the company’s scientific advancements and value proposition.
- Represent the company at conferences and networking events to promote our brand and establish strategic partnerships.
- Attend meetings with stakeholders, including investors, collaborators, and regulatory agencies, to discuss project progress and address any concerns or questions.
- Stay updated on relevant technology, regulations, and industry trends through continuous learning and participation in professional organizations.
- Travel as needed.

Qualifications:
- MBA or master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, bioengineering) with a minimum of 5 years of scientific and business experience.
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a research or biotech setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and communicate scientific concepts to non-experts.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Experience with marketing and/or business development activities is a plus.
