Recruitment of Data and Computational Biologist (Masters student for PhD level)

The Stem Cell Cytometry and Imaging Lab in the Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine (MIRM), Bengaluru, has a mandate to translate recent imaging technology revolutions into exploring immunoheterogeneity of stem cells to create innovative solutions for biotherapeutics. An excellent opportunity is available to engage in cutting-edge research using single-cell images of mesenchymal stem cells to develop image analysis pipelines that can classify them and predict their lineage-specific differentiation potential. We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic data and computational biologists with a passion for impacting human lives through innovative technological discoveries.

Eligibility Criteria: Masters in Computational Biology/Data Science, MTech/MSc/MS in Computer or Electronics Stream

Preference would be given to candidates having GATE or NET qualification along with Master’s degree.

Research Requirements:

1. Develop and build data analytics and computational strategy with images of cells.
2. Develop and apply computational methods to analyze data generated from biological experiments pertaining to data segmentation, masking, generation of pipelines with different computational models.
3. Analyze complex images across multiple parameters and variables and connect these items into actionable hypotheses.
4. Ability to integrate validated data analysis tools and pipelines from public resources to create robust data analysis software as interpretation pipelines for visualization and integrative analyses.
