Position: Project Associate – I/DST- SERB/SBST/Dr. Faraz Ahmad

Job Description: Applications are invited for the Post of Project Associate – I for the DST SERB Funded Project in the School of Bio Sciences & Technology (SBST), at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), (SUR/2022/005429 dated 24-01-2024)

Title of the Project: “Neuroprotective effects of agmatine on dysregulation of major matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) isoforms induced by chronic maternal separation

in a rodent model of developmental stress”.

Qualification: M. Tech / M.Sc in Biotechnology/Biological Sciences/ Life Sciences /Neurobiology, or a related field with two years of experience.

Stipend: Rs. 22,000/- per month, stipend will be as per Institute norms.

Sponsoring Agency: DST SERB, New Delhi.

Duration: 24 Months

Co-Principal Investigator: Dr. Siva Ramamoorthy, Professor, School of Bio Sciences & Technology, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Vellore – 632 014, Tamil Nadu.
