WALK-IN INTERVIEWS FOR DIFFERENT PROJECT POSITIONS ON EXTRAMURAL PROJECTS
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
The candidates fulfilling the requirements as per the essential qualifications may attend the Walk-In Interviews as per the date mentioned below. All should report at 09.30 am sharp at the address given below, and those candidates appearing for the interview should register their names in the register, kept at the Security Gate.

continue on 14th MARCH, 2024.The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) is an autonomous institution of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, for a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/hybridomas, etc. The Centre is located in the midst of an academically enriched environment of Savitribai Phule Pune University Campus, Pune. NCCS invites applications for the following posts on various extramural projects purely on a temporary basis.
Post I

Name of the Post: Research Associate – I
Number of posts: 01 (One)
Name of the Project: Precision Antibodies Engineering Centre (PACE).
Name of the PI: Dr. Akanksha Chaturvedi
Essential Qualification & Experience: Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/ M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable Experience: Experience in Molecular Biology and Animal handling is needed. Highly motivated individual to work in high pace work.
Project Tenure: Up to 02.03.2027
Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 47,000/- + HRA
Age limit: Not more than 40 years as on the last date of application.

Essential Qualification & Experience:
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
A. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or GATE.
B. The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
Desirable Experience: Experience in tissue culture, long noncoding RNA, western blotting, molecular cloning, protein purification.
Project Tenure: Up to 18.08.2024
Total Monthly Emoluments:
- For JRF: Rs. 31000/- + HRA for those who meet the essential qualifications.
- For SRF: Rs. 35000 /- + HRA for those who meet the above essential qualifications & should have 2 years of research experience.
Age limit:
- JRF: Not more than 28 years as on the last date of application.
- SRF: Not more than 32 years as on the last date of application.

Essential Qualification & Experience:
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
A. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or GATE.
B. The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
Desirable Experience: Candidates with prior experience in C. elegans genetics and cell biology will be given preference.
Project Tenure: Up to 19.12.2024
Total Monthly Emoluments:
- For JRF: Rs. 31000/- + HRA for those who meet the essential qualifications.
- For SRF: Rs. 35000 /- + HRA for those who meet the above essential qualifications & should have 2 years of research experience.
Age limit:
- JRF: Not more than 28 years as on the last date of application.
- SRF: Not more than 32 years as on the last date of application.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

- Essential qualifying Final / Provisional Degree certificate as per the advertisement.
- Copies of NET/GATE/National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc and other relevant documents, if applicable.
- Caste Certificate, Latest/valid non-creamy layer certificate, if applicable.
- Work experience certificates, if applicable.
The duration of offer will be determined based on fund availability.
Other important Points:
- The Director, NCCS reserves the right to enhance/reduce the number of posts and cancel the recruitment process if required. Additional percentage and experience cut-off will be applied during the screening process if required.
- The prescribed educational qualifications and experience are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for Walk-In Interviews. The Centre reserves the right to call for Walk-In Interviews only those candidates who in its opinion are likely to be suitable.
- The number of candidates to be called for the interview may be restricted to a reasonable limit after taking into consideration the essential qualifications and desirable experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying. No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication of any sort will be entertained on this matter.
- The above advertised positions are filled up purely on a temporary basis for a limited time on the extramural projects funded by various funding agencies. The position will automatically co-terminate on the completion of the candidate’s tenure. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in the funding agency or in NCCS, Pune.
- Fellowship/Emoluments: Emoluments to the research personnel engaged under project will be made in accordance with the sanction order or latest DST O.M whichever the case may be.
- Age limit will be considered as on the closing date of receipt of the application. Age relaxation of 5 years in case of Women/SC/ST/PH candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates will be given as per the Government of India rules. OBC candidates must produce latest/valid non-creamy layer certificate. Reservation as per Govt. of India norms will be followed.
- Age & Experience may be relaxed in exceptional cases by the Competent Authority.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
- Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence will be treated as a disqualification for the post
- The posts advertised shall be need based without any commitment for its filling.
- Selected candidates will have to join duty within one month of receipt of offer of appointment.
- Lower positions may be offered, if candidates are found not suitable for the above advertised poistions.
