Recruitment for the post of “Citizen Science Coordinator- Consultant and Campus Naturalist (Project Assistant)” under the DMNCT funded project

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for promotion of high-quality science education and research in the country.

The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position on contract basis:

Job Title: Campus Naturalist (Project Assistant)

Project: Tirupati Biodiversity

Description: This project aims to build capacity among local citizens on biodiversity around them. We will use structured citizen science efforts to build baselines on biodiversity in the Tirupati region.

Minimum Qualifications

Essential: Graduate degree in any biological sciences

Desirable:

• Experience conducting nature education work for over six months
• Ability to guide people and explain biodiversity – various taxa (e.g. birds, butterflies, moths, plants)
• Ability and experience handling data
• Ability and experience writing reports and publications

Fellowship: INR

Number of Posts: One (1)

Tenure: The position is temporary for a period of one year and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of two years. The position is co-terminus with the project.

Age: Not more than 50 years as on the closing date of advertisement.
