ICAR-IIAB Biotech Life Sciences Young Professional Jobs – Attend Walk-In
ICAR – Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology (ICAR-IIAB), an esteemed organization under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, is inviting applications for the position of Young Professional-I (YP-I) and Young Professional-II (YP-II). This is a contractual and co-terminus basis position. The walk-in-interview will be held on 18th January 2024 at ICAR-Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology, Ranchi. Post I: Young Professional-I (YP-I)
Essential Qualification: Graduate in Biotechnology or Life Science.
Desired Qualification:
- Post Graduation in Biotechnology or Life Sciences.
- One year work experience in aquaculture/fish biotechnology related research activity.
- Research publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
- Proficiency in computer application, data entry, and report writing.
Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- per month (fixed)
Post II: Young Professional-I (YP-I)
Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Life Science.
Desired Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Biotechnology/Genetic and Plant Breeding.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- per month (fixed)
Post III: Young Professional-II (YP-II)
Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology.
Desired Qualification:
- Ph.D. Degree
- One to two years of working experience.
- Proficiency in English and computer application.
Remuneration: Rs. 42,000/- per month
(fixed)Post IV: Young Professional-II (YP-II)
Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Biotechnology/Agricultural Biotechnology/ Agriculture or allied subjects from a recognized university.
Desired Qualification:
- Past experience in information compilation/project handling.
- Proficiency in English and computer applications like MS Office.
Remuneration: Rs. 42,000/- per month (fixed)
Note: Candidates can apply for only one post.
Duration of Engagement: The initial engagement of YP-I and YP-II will be for one year, which may be extended subject to performance and requirement of the services in the organization/project.
Consolidated Emoluments: The consolidated emoluments for YP-I will be Rs. 30,000/- per month (fixed) and for YP-II will be Rs. 42,000/- per month (fixed). No House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be paid.
Terms & Conditions
- The above position is purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis. The post will be offered initially for one year or till availability of funds or requirement, whichever is earlier.
- The candidates should be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 45 years. The age relaxation is applicable as per the Govt. of India/ ICAR Rules.
- Candidates will be selected through an Interview (Written test if required) based on their academic qualification, experience, publication, achievements/awards, etc., which are submitted by the candidates in his/her application form (Annexure I).
- Place of Walk – in – interview: ICAR-IAB, Farm B, CRTC, Garhkhatanga Ranchi – 834003. Date of Interview: 18.01.2024 Interview Reporting Time: 10:00 AM
- The selected candidate will not be entitled to claim regular appointments/absorption in this institute or ICAR. Non-maintenance of the discipline and failure to perform the assigned duties will make the YP-I and YP-II liable for termination during the appointment period as per ICAR rules.
- The selected candidate will be required to produce all the original documents and medical fitness certificates at the time of joining.
- Candidates should bring their complete bio-data, duly self-attested certificates and mark sheets (From Class 10th onwards), experience certificate, and no objection certificate from their current employer at the appointment time. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be allowed to attend the Interview.
- No TA/DA/remuneration will be paid for attending the Interview or joining if selected.
- Candidates whose near/distant relative(s) is an employee of the ICAR/ ICAR-IAB, Ranchi, have to furnish a declaration (Annexure II). Candidates having no near/distant relative(s) working at ICAR/ ICAR-IAB, Ranchi will also furnish a declaration (Annexure II) on the date of the interview.
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature. Concealing facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
- All the terms & conditions will be followed as per the revised guidelines of ICAR from time to time.
- All legal disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Jharkhand.
- The Director, ICAR-IAB, Ranchi, reserves the right to cancel/withdraw the above position and retains the right to not select any candidate/scrap any of the positions even after the Interview. The decision of the Director, ICAR-IAB, Ranchi shall be final and binding on all aspects.
