Job Description
As the Manager – Research and Development (Blend Specialist), you will be responsible for conducting the crafting of liquid for innovation/renovation projects, blending skills at unit and lab scale, and developing liquids to meet quality standards and consumer expectations. This role requires a deep understanding of the distillery and aging processes, ingredients, and additives for liquid development. In addition, you will play a key role in ensuring project delivery, building relationships with suppliers, and bringing new technology and technical solutions into the business.
Qualifications and Capabilities Required
- Education – Bachelors/Master degree in Alcohol Technology/Analytical Chemistry/Bio Chemistry/Food Technology. Additional certifications including Masters or PhD a plus. Engineering or Applied Science Degree or recognized technical equivalent.
- Experience – Minimum 7-8 years in Distillery/blending/Quality/Product Development. Experienced in leading project teams; proven record of managing technical projects through to execution.

- Conduct crafting of liquid for innovation/renovation projects as per liquid brief and consumer technical insights.
- Blending skills and experience of liquid blending at unit and lab scale.
- Develop liquids to meet sensorial quality as per brief.
- Knowledge of distillation, maturation, and other processes.
- Good sensory skills to develop beating liquids.
- Understanding of ingredients and additives for liquid development.
