Junior Research Fellow Vacancy

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a contract basis for a SERB funded project titled “Assessment of vascular endothelial integrity after therapeutic plasma exchange in patients with Guillain Barre Syndrome”. This project is led by Dr. Shwethashri KR, Associate Professor of Neuro Anaesthesia and Neuro Critical Care and Principal Investigator at NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MENTAL HEALTH AND NEURO SCIENCES.

Educational Qualification: M.Sc. Biochemistry/ M.Sc. Biotechnology/ M.Sc. Medical lab technology/ M.Sc. Clinical Neurosciences

Experience: Freshers are eligible

Age Limit (Upper): 35 years

Emoluments: Rs.30,000 + 24% HRA (Rs.7,440) per month

Nature of Work

The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Patient recruitment
• Follow-up of patients
• Blood sample collection and transportation to the lab
• Care of project equipment
• Coordination with the concerned departments
• Laboratory work
• Data and result recording and analysis

Duration of the Post

The initial appointment will be made for a period of one year, which can

be extended up to a maximum period of three years depending upon the performance of the candidate.
