Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (P)/Senior Research Fellow (P)

Duration: Six Months

Project: Project entitled “Understanding the association and underlying molecular
mechanisms of early life double-burden of malnutrition and noncommunicable disease risk in adolescence” funded by DBT.

Educational Qualifications:

Junior Research Fellow (P): M.Sc. in any area of life sciences with good academic record and qualified any National Level exam.
OR
Senior Research Fellow (P): M.Sc. in any area of life sciences with good academic record qualified any National Level exam. The candidate should have at least two years of proven research experience in a laboratory setting.

Job Description:

Hands-on experience in molecular biology (cloning, RNA isolation, PCR, quantitative real-time PCR, protein isolation, western blotting) and/or cell biology (mammalian cell culture, fluorescence microscopy) is required. Candidates having hands-on experience in model organisms (Drosophila, C-elegans, yeast, mouse, etc) will be preferred.

Emoluments:

• JRF (P): Rs.31,000/- plus 24% HRA
  OR
• SRF (P): Rs.35,000/- plus 24% HRA
