Key Responsibilities:

• Experimental Design: Collaborate with the research team to design and plan molecular biology experiments. This includes selecting appropriate techniques and methodologies for specific research objectives.
• Sample Preparation: Isolate and purify various biological samples including DNA, RNA, cDNA, and proteins. Proficient in multiple techniques including PCR, real-time PCR, gel electrophoresis, SDS PAGE and chromatography, etc.
• Molecular biology: Plan and execute a wide range of molecular biology experiments using methods of gene cloning and editing (KO/KI- using advanced molecular tools like CRISPR/Cas9, siRNA, TALENS etc.), Primer designing (PCR, QPCR), digestion, ligation, transfection and electroporation. Also, well versed with gene expression, protein purification, western blot analysis, polyclonal antibody purification, cDNA library preparation and ELISA.
• Data Collection: Accurately document experimental procedures, results, and observations. Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and databases; timely documentation of SOPs.
• Instrumentation: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including PCR/QPCR machines, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, cell counter, flow cytometer, fluorescent microscope, and other molecular biology instruments.
• Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret experimental data related to Q-PCR, MS analysis, NextGen Sequence, Microarray, etc. Use relevant software and tools to process and visualize data and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
• Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of experimental results. Troubleshoot and address issues as they arise.
• Literature Review: Stay up-to-date with current research trends and scientific literature, integrating new findings into research projects.

Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in Life Science, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Animal Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field, with 2-3 years’ experience. Proven experience related to the key responsibilities as mentioned above is preferred.
