Subject: Declaration of Scores of the JOINT CSIR-UGC NET DECEMBER, 2022 – JUNE, 2023

1. The Joint CSIR-UGC-NET December 2022 – June 2023 for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship was conducted by the National Testing Agency in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on 06, 07, 08 June, 2023 in 05 Subjects at 544 Centres in 425 Cities across the country, as per below mentioned details :

Post exam, Questions, provisional answer keys and recorded responses of candidates were hosted on the NTA website https://csirnet.nta.nic.in from 14.06.2023 to 16.06.2023 and challenges were invited from the candidates. Challenges received were verified by experts and the verified finalised answer keys were used for scoring.

3. Scores of the exam are now hosted on https://csirnet.nta.nic.in Candidates can login to the website using their application number and date of birth and view/download/print their respective Score Card.

4. No Score Card will be dispatched to the candidates in hard copy by post or through e-mail.

5. Merely appearing and possessing Score

Card does not confer any right to the candidate for further selection.

6. The eligibility criteria, self-declaration, various documents, etc. of the eligible candidates shall be verified as per norms specified in the Information Bulletin Dec 2022–June 2023 at
subsequent stages. NTA does not have any responsibility towards correctness/genuineness of the uploaded information/documents etc. during the application process.

7. The responsibility of NTA is limited to inviting online application, conduct of the entrance test, declaration of the scores and providing the complete data to the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for further action at their end.

8. The certificates to the qualified candidates will be issued by NTA after the declaration of the final result by CSIR.

The National Testing Agency has been mandated by the Ministry of Education and Council of Scientific & Industrial Research to conduct Joint Council of Scientific & Industrial Research–University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (Joint CSIR-UGC NET, December 2022 – June 2023) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship.

The Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2022 – June 2023 Examination was conducted in bilingual mode i.e. English and Hindi in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on 6, 7 & 8th June, 2023, as per the details given below:

The National Testing Agency conducted the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2022 – June 2023 Examination in Computer Based Test (CBT) for 05 Subjects at 544 Centres in 425 cities across the country.

The candidates were given an opportunity to challenge the Provisional Answer Key from 14.06.2023 to 16.06.2023 along with display of Question Paper, and Recorded responses. In this duration, about 745 Answer Key challenges were received out of which 232 were the unique challenges. Challenges were shown to the concerned Subject Experts. Based on their feedback and after incorporating the changes, the Final Answer Keys were prepared which were used in preparing the Result of Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2022 – June 2023.

The Role of NTA is confined to the Registration of candidates, conduct of the test, hosting of answer keys, inviting challenges, finalizing answer keys, preparing and declaring results, and hosting Score Card. A merit list and cut-off will be prepared by CSIR.

The Examination was monitored in the following ways:-

  • A Central Control Room was opened to monitor and facilitate the smooth conduct of the Examination on the ground. 02 National Coordinators, 18 Regional Coordinators, 43 Zonal Coordinators, 178 City Coordinators, 461 Observers, and 05 Deputy Observers were deployed.
  • Live CCTV Surveillance was planned in all examination centres to curb malpractices in the examination. The NTA also made arrangements for live viewing of remote locations of all examination centres from the Control Room located in the NTA premises of New Delhi. Recording of CCTV Systems was also done.
  • The examination centres were also monitored using AI-based Video Analytics and Virtual Observers.
  • In order to stop cheating using mobile networks, Jammers were installed in all the Centres.

Candidates were given an opportunity to see their responses to the Question Papers and to challenge the Answer Keys. Challenges received online were placed before the concerned Subject Experts for verification.
