Post I
Position – Project Scientist – B (Non – Medical)
Posts – 01 (UR)
Project Title – Human rabies deaths and animal bite burden in India: A cross sectional survey (Haryana)
Place of Posting – Mewat, Haryana

Duration: Four months
Essential Qualification
First-class Master’s Degree in Public Health/ Epidemiology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognized University with 2 years of experience in the related field.

Second class Master’s degree with Ph.D. in Public Health/ Epidemiology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognized University.
OR
BDS/B.V.Sc degree with one year of experience.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in Community survey
- Knowledge of computer applications and statistical packages
- Fluency in Hindi and Haryanvi.
Nature of Duties
- The prospective candidate is a self-starter, with a strong commitment, good communication and managerial skills and the ability to work well under pressure and balance competing priorities in a demanding work environment.
- To provide support for planning, managing and implementing the project
- Coordinate with district-level officials in the implementation of the project
- Prepare/ Revise study protocols/SOPs/teaching and training materials
- Supervise data collection and reporting with field sites
- Prepare the technical reports on the status of the implementation of study
- Contribute to organizing meetings/workshops/training programs
- Periodically undertake field visits to study sites.
- The incumbent will be responsible for timely correspondence/updates on all aspects of the project with PI/CoPI and all others concerned on day to day progress of the assigned project activities.
- Any other work assigned by the Director/PI/Co-PI/Supervisory Officer.
Remuneration: Rs. 48,000/- plus HRA Per month
Post II
Position – Project Assistant (Field)
Posts – 01 (UR)

Graduate in Sociology / Social Work / Social Sciences / Public Health /Epidemiology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognized University with three years of work experience in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in working on community-based projects
- Fluency in Hindi and Haryanvi
Nature of Duties
- Data collection from the community
- Supervision of data collection
- Coordinating meetings
- Travel to other districts in Haryana for data collection
- Any other work assigned by the Director/PI/Co-PI/Superior Officer
Remuneration: Rs. 31,000/- Per month

ensure that they have a valid personal e-mail ID and mobile number. Candidate should
note that the e-mail ID and mobile number are to be kept active during the recruitment
process. - All eligible candidates willing to apply in response to this advertisement notice should visit NIE Recruitment Portal and register himself/herself before the last date (13.12.2022). For applying for the project posts, one should select the advertisement number of this notice and fill in other details i.e. post applied for, Name of the candidate, Date of birth, category, e-mail ID, mobile number etc. Upon successful registration, the user name/application number and password will be sent to the e-mail ID used during
registration. - Candidate(s) should note that no edit option will be available to them after saving the
application finally. Therefore, the candidates are advised to carefully fill in all the details regarding name, category, qualification, and experience. Candidates are also advised to
ensure that they have uploaded the correct photograph. - Candidates who all are incurred difficulties to applying the project posts through NIE
Recruitment Portal; they can simultaneously send the application form (Annexure A)
along with all supporting documents should be submitted through Email ID
[email protected] on or before closing date: 13.12.2022 up to 05:00 p.m.
a) The application should be as per the prescribed format (Annexure – A)
b) Candidates should enclose photocopies of educational qualifications and experience and other testimonials duly self–attested along with the filled application.
Instruction to the candidate
- The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of the application.
- Experience certificates should clearly state the nature of work during the period of employment. Appointment orders and pay slips will not be accepted in place of experience certificates. Experience certificate should contain salary per month and duration.
- No-Objection Certificate from the current employer (for Govt./AB/PSU Servants only).
- The above-said post is Contractual for the duration offered. The appointment may be renewed after every specific period of time subject to satisfactory performance and project requirements.
- The incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under NIE/ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
- TA/DA will not be paid by NIE for attending the written test/interview.
- The Director, ICMR-NIE reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment or re-advertise the posts, without assigning any reasons thereof, no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
- Candidates are advised to check ICMR – NIE website regularly for further information or changes, which will be updated from time to time.
- The date and time of the online interview will be intimated by Email separately to the eligible candidates.
