Job Description – The candidate is expected to manage ongoing research projects as well as develop new research proposals, manage the facilities, assist research groups and train research students in their respective fields.

Academic Qualifications–

Position 1: M.Sc. in Biotechnology with Ph. D in the relevant field and post-doctoral research experience in the Biology of abiotic stress tolerance in crop and plant species.

Position 2: M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ with Ph. D in relevant field and post-doctoral research experience in Plant-microbe interaction and microbiome for enhancing plant and soil health.

Position 3: M.Sc. in Agriculture/ Botany/ Life sciences and Ph. D in relevant field with post-doctoral research experience in Plant Genetic Resources survey and characterisation.

Desirable qualification –

• Demonstrated capability in an academic environment and in managing research
• Good communication skills oral and written (to develop competitive research proposals) and the aptitude to interact with other research groups.
• Candidates with experience in Agriculture field work will be preferred.
