Name of the Project – “Ediacaran Complex Acanthomorph Palynoflora (ECAP) based biostratigraphy of the Krol Belt of the Lesser Himalaya, Northern India: Significance for global correlation”

Duration – Three years or co-terminus with the project
Age* – Not exceeding 28 years on the last date of application
*Age Relaxation is admissible for candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC category as per Government of India rules.

The short-listed candidates will be intimated subsequently to appear before the Selection Committee in person or via an online portal (e.g., Google Meet) for the interview. The incumbent shall have no implicit or explicit claim of regular absorption in any post in the Institute or in the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.Essential Qualification – Post-Graduation in Geology/Botany or allied disciplines
from any recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks at graduation and post-graduation level.
Desirable Qualification –
- CSIR/UGC NET/GATE qualified candidates may be given preference.
- Candidates having experience in Precambrian Palaeobiology during master’s dissertation/ internship may be given preference.
Fellowship – Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (Admissible) per month for CSIR/UGC NET/GATE qualified candidates and conversely Rs. 25000/- + HRA for candidates who is not CSIR/ UGC NET/GATE qualified.
