How to Apply

  1. These are short-term positions and extension will be granted subject to satisfactory
    performance of the incumbents and tenure of the project for which they are selected. Those appointed to these positions will not have any claim for regularization of their employment.
  2. All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognized
    Board/University.
  3. The experience requirement specified shall be experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications required for the post.
  4. Persons working in Govt./ PSUs / autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel or produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of written test/skill test/Interview.
  5. The age limit, qualification, experience and other requirements may be relaxed at the discretion of the competent authority, in the case of candidates who are otherwise suitable. In case candidates are not found suitable for the posts notified, they can be offered lower post / lower emoluments on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.
  6. Age and other relaxations for direct recruits and departmental candidates: i) By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities. ii) By 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities. iii). For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) falling under the following categories: iii(a) UR – 10 years, iii(b) OBC -13 years iii(c) SC/ST – 15 years iv) For Ex-servicemen up to the extent of service rendered in defence forces (Army, Navy & Air force) plus 3 years provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months attested service. v) Age is relaxable for Central Government servants up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government, from time to time. vi) There is no upper age limit for the Institute employees who are treated as departmental candidates.
  7. The number of positions may vary depending upon the requirement at the time of
    interview /presentation.
  8. Outstation SC/ST/ PwBD candidates called for the interview/written test/skill test will be paid to & fro second class railway fare, as per Govt. of India rules on production of the proof of the same.
  9. All results will be published on our website and all communications will be only through email.
  10. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

Procedure for filling up online application

1. Documents to be kept handy before filling up the online application – (all the documents except (i) should be in pdf format):

i) A soft copy of your passport size photo and also signature. (jpeg/jpg/png format).
ii) A comprehensive CV containing details of qualification, positions held, professional.
experience/ distinctions etc.
iii) Matriculation certificate (equivalent to 10th Standard)/ Mark sheet
iv) Intermediate certificate (equivalent to 12th Standard)/ Mark sheet
v) Graduation degree certificate/ Mark sheet.
vi) Post-Graduation degree certificate & Mark sheet.
viii) Ph.D or equivalent degree certificate.
viii) Relevant experience certificates.
ix) Caste/ Disability certification in the format prescribed by the Govt. of India, if applicable.

2. Procedure for filling online application – 

i) The eligible and interested candidates might apply online at the Institute’s website
www.thsti.res.in/career. Applications with any other mode will not be approved.
ii) The following will be the stepwise procedure
A) Step 1: Details of the candidate.
B) Step 2: Uploading of documents.
C) Step 3: Payment of application fee.
► The payment can be made by using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking/ UPI.
► As soon as payment is made, no correction/ modification is possible.
► Applicants are asked to keep a copy of the provisional receipt for the future.

1. Unreserved, OBC & EWS applicants For Posts I to IV: Rs. 590
2. Unreserved, OBC & EWS applicants For Posts V to VII: Rs. 236

D) Step 4: Submission of application.

iii) On successful submission of the application, an auto-generated email containing the reference number will certainly be sent to the email address provided. Please keep a note of the reference number for future correspondence.
iv) Applicants are needed to keep a printout of the online application by using the print button on the dashboard for future reference.
v) Candidates need to guarantee that he/ she fulfils all the eligibility criteria as stipulated.

For Post I

Emoluments – Rs. 1,25,000/-

Minimum Qualifications & Experience – Ph.D/M.D., or corresponding degree in any area of Life Sciences/ Medical Sciences from a recognized university with at least three years of postdoctoral research experience in clinical or translational research.

Job description/desirable qualification and experience

  • Coordinate an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, biologists and quantitative experts to answer questions of public health importance.
  • Conduct periodic review meetings of study objectives, set timelines and report progress to the principal investigator.
  • Collate and interpret results from multiple teams, draft reports and manuscripts.
  • Coordinate with grants manager, investigator and funding agency to fulfil grant
    requirements.
  • Networking with global partners and potential collaborators.

For Post II

Emoluments – Rs. 70,000/-

Minimum Qualifications & Experience – PG Professional degree in Life Sciences with six years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field mentioned under desirable qualification.
OR
PG degree in Life Sciences with seven years of post-qualification experience relevant field mentioned under desirable qualification.

Requirement for 1st Position

  • Constantly update, revise, and maintain the Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and other quality documents.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits as per the pre-determined schedule, follow-up audit
    activities.
  • Support for External Quality Audits, follow-up on recommendations, and initiate
    corrective or preventative actions, whenever required.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of ISO 20387, ISO 9001 standard and related documentation processes.
  • Trained on internal audit and accreditation process.

Requirement for 2nd Position

  • Monitoring quality control measures for archived Biospecimens (blood, serum, plasma, urine, saliva, DNA, Peripheral blood mononuclear cells PBMCs etc.).
  • Monitoring the performance of existing assays.
  • Aiding in the preparation of documents (SOPs) for biorepository processes.
  • Ensuring that technical requirements are met as per the requirements of the relevant ISO standard within the facility.

Desirable

  • Trained in molecular biology techniques.
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025, ISO 9001/ ISO 20387 standard and related documentation
    processes.

For Post III

Emoluments – Rs. 55,000/- plus HRA

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • PhD degree in any branch of Life Sciences from the recognized University. OR M.Sc degree in any branch of life sciences with three years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
  • Experience in molecular biology (cloning, plasmid construction, and sequence verification) techniques are desirable.

Job description/desirable qualification and experience –  Basic knowledge of biochemical molecular biology. Preference will be given if have experience with pseudoviruses, immunological techniques, luminometric immune assays, protein purification and extraction.

For Post IV

Emoluments – Rs. 50,000/-

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • PG Professional degree in Life Sciences with three years of post-qualification experience in monitoring quality in clinical research.
    OR
  • PG degree in Life Sciences with five years of post-qualification experience in monitoring quality in clinical research.

Job description/desirable qualification and experience – Monitor clinical data quality and biospecimen collection process.

For Post V

Emoluments – Rs. 36,000/- +HRA

Minimum Qualifications & Experience – MSc degree in any area of Life Sciences from a recognized university with at least one year of post-qualification research experience in the relevant field.

Job description/desirable qualification and experience – Candidates should have experience handling mammalian cell culture, virus propagation, PCR, RT-PCR,
immunofluorescence assay and virus neutralization assays.

For Post VI

Emoluments – Rs. 36,000/- +HRA

Minimum Qualifications & Experience – Ph.D degree in Protein Biochemistry / Biotechnology or any branch of life Sciences from a recognized University. Experience in recombinant protein purification, mammalian cell culture and molecular biology (cloning,
plasmid construction, and sequence verification) techniques are desirable.

Job description/desirable qualification and experience – Basic knowledge of biochemical and biophysical characterization of recombinant protein is preferential.

For Post VII

Emoluments – Rs. 20,000

Minimum Qualifications & Experience – Bachelor degree in Life Sciences from the recognized university with working experience in the R&D lab.

Job description/desirable qualification and experience – Basic knowledge of buffer preparation, electrophoresis, bacterial culture and plasmid purification is preferential.
