Walk-in-Interview (Advt. No. 01/2021)

Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Kothrud, Pune-411038, is a Premier Research
Institute working under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences Ministry of
AYUSH, Govt. of India. Following posts of Senior Research Fellow are to be filled on a purely contractual basis and co-terminus with the IMR project Following are the details:

Post I

Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow (Botany/ Pharmacognosy/ Medicinal Plants)

No. of Posts: 01

Name of the Project: Plant Diversity Database of selected plant species used in the Ayurveda of RARI, Pune Medicinal Plants Garden.

Duration of Project: 03 Year

Duration of SRF: 01 Year

Age

: not exceeding 35 years as on date of interview. (Age relaxation as per Govt. of India
Rule)

Post II

Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow (Pharmacology)

No. of Posts: 01

Name of the Project: Exploratory Study of cellular and nuclear entry of Bhasmas and Rasakalpas

Duration of Project: 03 Year

Duration of SRF: 06 months (May be extendable up to one year)

Age: not exceeding 35 years as on date of interview. (Age relaxation as per Govt. of India
Rule)

General Conditions:

1. Remuneration Rs 35000+ 24 % HRA.
2. There will be a written examination and interview from 11.00 A.M. onwards at the institute.
3. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the written test/interview.
4. Candidates desiring to appear for an interview should bring all original documents, mark sheets, attested certificates, testimonials, a copy of Bio-data (as per proforma Provided) and two copies of the recent coloured photograph for submitting on Scheduled date at 9.30 A.M. at Institute conference hall. Admission will not be given after 10.30 am.
5. The engagement is contractual and co-terminus with the project. No claim for the permanent/ regular appointment or continuation will be entertained.
6. The engagement is initially for 6 months which is further extendable based on the satisfactory performance of the candidate.
7. All rights are reserved with the engaging authority.

For Post I

Essential Qualifications:

1. Post Graduate degree in (Botany/Medicinal Plants) from a recognized University/ Institution.
2. 02 years of research experience in relevant fields. Preference will be given to the candidate having a publication in the relevant area.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Knowledge and working experience of Plant Identification, Sectioning and Camera Lucida
   Drawing.
2. Skills of using Adobe Photoshop, drafting and editing scientific documents/ articles/ technical reports etc.
3. Publication in peer-reviewed journals.
4. Working knowledge of computer applications.

Essential Qualifications: M. Tech. (Biotechnology) / M. Sc. Biotechnology (two
years experience required after M. Sc. completion)

Desirable Qualifications: Candidates with hands-on experience in animal cell culture and absorption studies and or experience in metal-based nanoparticle characterization will be preferred.
