Terms & Conditions:

1. Maximum age limit: The age should be maximum of 35 years for male and 40
   years for female and age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC is applicable as per Govt. of
   India/ICAR rules.
2. Applicants with minimum eligibility alone need to send an application/appear for the interview.
3. The applicant must submit attested copies of certificates along with the application and a brief of research work done vis-a-vis publications in peer-reviewed journals during post graduation’s & present employment and two passport size photographs. Applicant must bring with them original documents at the time of the interview for verification.
4. All eligible candidates are requested to be present 30 minutes before the scheduled time on the date of the interview for necessary formalities.
5. No objection certificate from the employer/ University, in case he/ she is in employment 
   elsewhere.
6. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointments at this Institute as the fellowship/post is purely temporary and co-terminus with respective Project/Schemes.
7. The initial appointment is up to 31.03.2022 or till the closure of the project whichever is earlier. However, the continuation of the SRF will be based on the performance of the candidate and the progress of work will be reviewed every six months (or early if necessary) by the Principal Investigator. If the performance of the candidates found not satisfactory, the PI can remove the candidate at any point in time.
8. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview. The interview will be held on 23rd April 2021 at ICAR-NBAIR, Hebbal, Bangalore – 560024 at 11:00 AM for offline candidates and Online will be conducted on 24th April 2021(Via Video Conference).
9. Any other clarifications can be had on the date of the interview.
10. The decision of the Competent Authority will be final and binding in all respects.
11. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate
12. The place of posting will be ICAR-NBAIR, Bangalore.
13. MS word version of the application format can also be obtained from the website www.nbair.res.in.

Important Notes:

1. Do not send your original certificates along with the application.
2. No call letters will be issued. Applicants are expected to be present at the interview venue on the said date and time and half an hour before the scheduled time.
3. Late arrival (After 10:30 AM) of applicants for the interview will be considered as ABSENT.

The same may be communicated to all the interview committee members and for the advertisement.

The Qualified candidates may appear for the walk-in interview on 23rd April 2021 at 11:00 AM and their complete bio-data in the Application format furnished on pages 3-4. Emoluments (Fixed) per month: Rs. 31,000/- per month+ HRA- for 1st MSc in  Bioinformatics/ and 2nd year & Rs. 35,000/- per month + HRA from 3rd Master’s Degree in the relevant year.

Essential Qualification:

• MSc in Bioinformatics/Molecular Biology.
• Master’s degree in the relevant subject with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification as mentioned in the OM SR/S9/Z-09/2012 of DST dated 21.10.2014.

Desirable Qualification: Having experience in analyzing NGS data of insect whole genome & transcriptome and small RNA sequence. Should able to work with high-performance computing system in Linux based OS.
