6-month training opportunities:
The Institute provides opportunities for exceptional students to carry out project work under the supervision of the Institute’s scientists towards partial fulfilment of their postgraduate degrees (of at the very least 6 months period; session I: July-December; session II: January-June). The minimal eligibility criterion for consideration of the requests is the first division or an equal grade (or at least 60% of aggregate ratings) in all major exams beginning with the secondary school examination onwards. The following procedure ought to be followed by interested students:
Students who are pursuing a masters degree (e.g. MSc, MVSc, MTech, integrated masters students in their fourth year etc.) may apply.
The requests should be forwarded through the Heads of Departments and must provide the academic resumes of the recommended student( s) clearly specifying percentage marks obtained at various levels and the subjects covered, in addition to the duration of proposed project work
.Every department can forward a maximum of two requests
Candidates must mention their broad area of interest on the following subjects mentioned below:
a) immunity and infection b) Reproduction, Development and cell Biology c) Genetics, Cell signalling and Cancer cells Biology d) Chemical Biology, Biochemistry and Structural Biology.
Training opportunities can be offered only during the two time periods mentioned.
How to Apply:
Applications for the January-June slot will certainly be accepted only from 15th September to 15th October every year and only chosen students will certainly be informed by 31st October. Applications for the July-December slot will certainly be accepted only from 15th March to 15th April every year and only chosen candidates will certainly be informed by 30th April. Late applications will not be taken into consideration.

As a result of infrastructure constraint, the Institute will not have the ability to provide any type of accommodation at the campus. The trainee may make his/her very own arrangements for accommodation during the period of the work.
There are no fixed numbers available annually however requests are taken into consideration on the basis of available vacancies.
